This is the Spring issue of the Journal of Chiropractic Education, which means that it is time for the annual Association of Chiropractic Colleges Conference/Research Agenda Conference (ACCRAC). The prize-winning education research papers from the 2013 ACCRAC are published in this issue. Funded by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners, these awards are presented to the three top conference submissions presenting education research. The National Board of Chiropractic Examiners is to be thanked for sponsoring this competition; these awards have likely inspired more faculty members to engage in the scholarship of education. Also in this issue is a detailed article by Bakkum and colleagues that looks at publication rates of ACCRAC presentations, which ought to fuel some dialog at the conference and perhaps stimulate some authors to do what it takes to convert their presentations into publications.

Global involvement in the journal continues to grow. International representation is very important to the journal. In diversity there is strength and the continued germination of new ideas. Thus, the journal relies upon scholarly input from experts at colleges, universities, and in private companies or foundations from around the world. Recently, members have been added to the editorial board from Mexico, Malaysia, Oman, and the United States. The journal editorial board now has representation from 39 colleges or universities from 18 countries, and also 2 members from the corporations or foundations, demonstrating that the JCE has truly become an international publication dedicated to the study and practice of chiropractic education. The journal is guided by a strong foundation; all three previous editors continue to serve the journal, as do many long term editorial board members.

It has been said that education is not a spectator sport. Participation in journal peer review and publication is an important scholarly endeavor. The journal is always in need of peer-reviewers who would like to volunteer their time to provide valuable constructive feedback to manuscript authors. If you would like to participate, please feel free to contact me by e-mail (JChiroEd@aol.com).
